Project location site lies in the outskirts of Chandigarh with the Siswan Dam and Siswan Forests as key project components. The vision was to develop a nature based ecologically sustainable destination in the foothills of Shivalik hills. An experience based tourism concept, in line with the theme of eco-tourism policies is been developed. The facilities / infrastructure being planned are envisaged in a manner that it cause minimal intrusion to the local habitats of flora and fauna. The client’s vision is to develop a world class destination, first of its kind in this region. The design intent has been to capture some stunningly serene views of the waterside from the café side as well as an experience based 6.5 km nature trail walk. Other project components being Café Siswan comprising of a fine dining rustic café, food court and dining decks overlooking the waterfront. Siswan Promenade is developed to take a walk on the bund of the damn together with an Interpretation centre and a 6.5 km nature trail going through the Siswan forest area. Log huts with camping sites are planned inside a virgin island hill accessible through a ropeway bridge.
