NOOR is a cross disciplinary practice working in the realms of Urbanism, Architecture, Interior Design, Product Design and Photography. Founded in 2009 by Noor Dasmesh Singh in Chandigarh, India. NOOR pursues design excellence by challenging convention and innovate on materiality by combining vernacular crafts with evolving technology. Our design interventions are deeply rooted in the context and explore a delicate connection of the built environment with the surroundings both at a physical and at an ideological level. Sustainability is ingrained in the very design process of each project from inception stage.

Noor Dasmesh Singh founded NOOR in 2009 based in Chandigarh, India.
Noor took his Bachelor’s education in India and thereafter moved to London to live and work there between 2005-2009. Continuing his professional education, he attended executive education courses at the Harvard University, USA and the Architectural Association, London. In the past, he has worked on some world class projects combining strategy and design at an Urban and Architectural scale. His involvements included the NW Developmental Framework for the prestigious British Museum, London, Roath Basin Masterplan,Cardiff (Transformation of disused dock to a 200,000 sqm new Mixed use district of city integrating spaces for work, play and live), developmental projects for television giants like the BBC and ITV Television Manchester. Other projects that include the Montevetro Office towers in Dublin (Ireland), Campus Masterplan for University of Otago in New Zealand and Discovery Tower, Dubai for developer group Limitless.
On his return to India in 2009, Noor has represented Jurong Consultants (Singapore) for projects in the north of India. Consultancy projects with GoP include Comprehensive Integrated Master Plan for Six Local Planning Areas LPAʼs – Regional Level Masterplans approx 70,000 Acres area in SAS Nagar, Mullanpur, Derabassi, Zirakpur, Kharar and Banur. Other works include offices for a UK based IT company Pumasource Pvt Ltd in Mohali and RT Global in Rajiv Gandhi IT Park Chandigarh. Urban Design and Architectural Services for AWHO (Army Welfare Housing Organisation) 13.67 acre residential township in Amritsar, Punjab. Residential Work in the tricity. Masterplanning and Engineering services for IMT, Kharkhoda – an industrial township in 3300 acres land in NCR Region (Clients- HSIIDC), Museum of Anatomy for the prestigious PGIMER, Chandigarh.

With a small team size, a creative process is sought combining practical experience with educational background. As an approach, NOOR promotes a collaborative way of working across geographical boundaries to add value to projects.

Madhu is a Senior Architect with excellent track record of working on mixed use developments pan India. Leading the teams for a variety of projects, Madhu brings his skills of design development for complex projects of Masterplanning and Architecture within the practice
Rajman Kaur
Rajman is a Senior Architect with a vast experience in the field of architecture earlier based out of Vadodra. She has spend 5 years working as a Senior Architect with Karan Grover & Associates and contributed richly in the projects at hand. Now with NOOR, she contributes and leads the projects of variety of scales and typologies
Ruchi Bhatia
Ruchi Bhatia is an architect by training from School of Planning and Architecture SPA, Delhi. She also has an M Arch in Urban Design from SPA, Delhi. In the past, Ruchi has worked with a few international design practices. Her last job was as a Senior Urban Designer and Architect with Building Design Partnership, New Delhi. She associates with NOOR and brings with her extensive experience of working on large scale multi-disciplinary projects in India and abroad.
